Shawn Laughlin Hosts Colorado Jail Association's Behind the Badge Podcast

Denver, Colorado — NextGen Ideas is excited to announce the addition of Shawn Laughlin as the CJA Podcast Moderator.  The CJA Podcast focuses on members and business partners involved with the Colorado Jail Community. 

Shawn is the Commander (Ret.) of the Broomfield Detention Center, a 224-bed City/County Detention Facility. He served on the AJA Board of Directors for 10 years and is a Past President. He is a recognized expert in correctional operations before both state and federal courts. Additionally, he has been an instructor for the County Sheriffs of Colorado for 15 years, covering all aspects of jail operations, and serves as an S.M.E. for curriculum development. He is the past Secretary of the Colorado Jail Association. Shawn holds an Executive Certificate in PhD studies from Liberty University and an M.A. degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Colorado and has been a Certified Jail Manager since 2005. He is a graduate of the National Jail Leadership Command Academy #3.
